Bonded Warrant

This is an unconditional and freely negotiable document. A simple endorsement registered at the issuing compañy is all it takes. It is issued by the warehousing company upon receipt of the products. It is issued as a warrant and has the characteristic of "Bonded" because the goods or products represented therein are stored under the Public Warehousing Customs System.

Advantages

  • The customer receives a document known as "Certificado de Depósito Afianzado" (Bonded Warrant) which represents the goods or products stored in our warehouses.
  • It improves cash flow management because stored products under the Public Warehousing Customs System can be nationalized in lots thus using funds as they become available.
  • It reduces the financial cost of funds because payment of tariffs and duties is not made upon arrival of the products, it is delayed to the moment when nationalization takes place.
  • The inventory can be used as a credit guaantee. To financial institutions, the "Certificado de Depósito Afianzado" (Bonded Warrant) is a real guarantee.
  • Foreign suppliers do not lose control of their products when they are shipped to our warehouse through an specific three party contract signed by the foreign supplier, the local importer and us. We can act as custodians or consigners.
  • The customer and the company or person that receives a bonded warrant or "Certificado de Depósito Afianzado" has the guarantee of ALMAGRO who, by issuing the document, is responsible for the conservation, custody and timely restitution of the goods and products stored.
  • The "Certificado de Depósito Afianzado" (Bonded Warrant) gives the consigner or lender, the absolute assurance that the goods or products imported with its financing, has been stored and is available as guarantee only for that particular business deal and that there is no possibility that the customer can replace it or use it before making the neccessary payment or complying with the agreed credit conditions.
